From paper forms to online portals and apps, the way we interact with health benefits has changed dramatically. Just like how we bank and book appointments has changed too. It’s no surprise that health benefits are going digital too. For employes and members alike, convenience is no longer a nice-to-have but a core expectation of modern benefit plans. Here’s why online claim submissions are reshaping how people interact with their coverage and how we, at Alberta Blue Cross®, are committed to supporting you with uninterrupted access to your benefits and coverage.

Submit claims online, including virtual services, drugs, dental, vision and 100 per cent of health claims using our member site and app (iOS and Android)—from anywhere at any time.

Using our member site or app, you can

  • save time claiming and get paid faster,
  • check claims history in seconds,
  • submit receipts and claim statements when needed,
  • get directions to a local provider that direct bills using the provider look-up tool,
  • modify and cancel claims online without making a phone call,
  • check if a prescription drug is covered before going to the pharmacy, and
  • feel protected—avoid out-of-pocket expenses by checking the delisted providers list.

Update (June 18, 2025): In line with industry best practices and to help keep benefit plans sustainable for all members, all online claims will need to be submitted along with a receipt for processing.

This change does not affect the majority of the claims we process that are directly billed by the product/service provider to us. Also, this won’t delay payments, and our easy step-by-step guide will help you through the process. If you have more questions, our Frequently Asked Questions may come handy.

In case you have questions, you can reach our Customer Services contact centre through the contact form on our website.

This is the most stupid website I have ever seen. I had a lot more choice words but I can’t type them here and expect you to respond.

I’m trying to submit a claim on line. The site runs me around several pages, asks me to sign in several times and then sends me back to the same page I started at. I phone the 1-800 number and get a recording that says ‘we are too busy to talk to you, please go to our website. Call back tomorrow’ That recording is just as stupid as your website.

Please send me some instructions in plain English that will help me submit a claim.
    Thanks you for your indulgence

Hi, I’m trying to submit a claim as well. I need an email sent to walk me through the site as well. Please.

I am having an issue as well. Been trying for the last couple hours and keeps sending me back to sign. I sent an e-mail. I hope I get a step by step on how to do this.
