For the ninth year, Alberta Blue Cross® is helping Albertans build safe, vibrant spaces for individuals, families, children and seniors to live actively in their communities.

Built Together is a program that offers $50,000 grants to fund infrastructure projects designed to foster active living. Grants are awarded to projects in one of each of the following areas: Edmonton, Calgary, a secondary city, a rural community and an Indigenous community. Since the program’s inception in 2013, Alberta Blue Cross® has funded a total of 38 projects across Alberta, including outdoor gyms, sports courts, a bike skills park, playgrounds, a skate park, an outdoor rink and more.

The 2022 Built Together program is now open to applicants!

Community leagues, school councils, municipalities and other non-profits across Alberta are now invited to apply for Built Together. The application process opens May 16, 2022 and closes at midnight on September 15, 2022.
